Rainbow Run Disclaimer

1. I understand that participating in the Rainbow Run is a potentially hazardous activity where I will be required to run, jog or walk a set distance and colour powder will be thrown at and around me during the course of the event. I also understand that some of the course may go through water, coloured corn starch or mud, which has not been tested for chemicals or disease. As it is a physically demanding activity, I understand there is a risk of injury and even death and that the Rainbow Run does not conduct health or fitness checks on entrants.Whilst the Rainbow Run takes care to make the event as safe as possible, they cannot remove risks and dangers to participants and observers and accordingly I participate at my own risk.
2. I agree not to participate unless I am medically and physically able, and that it is my responsibility to decide whether I am, and any child for whom I am responsible, is medically and physically able.
3. I assume all risks associated with competing in the Rainbow Run, including, but not limited to:
   i. slips, falls, contact with other participants,
   ii. negligent or wanton acts of other participants,
   iii. any defects or condition of premises, or colour zones,
   iv. the effects of the weather including high heat, cold temperatures, storms and|or humidity.
4. I agree that the Broadway PTFA are not responsible for any personal items or property that are lost, stolen, stained or damaged at or during the event.
5. I consent to emergency medical care and transportation in order to obtain treatment in the event of injury to me as medical professionals may deem appropriate.
6. I understand and agree that pets are not permitted to accompany me in the event.
7. I grant permission for the Broadway PTFA to use any photographs,
   motion pictures, video and | or sound recordings or any other record of this event which include any images of me [and | or of any child on whose behalf I sign] for any purpose including, but not limited to, promoting, advertising and marketing purposes at any time after the event.
8. I assume risk of wild animals and insects that may be present on the course.
9. I understand that Colour Powder is rated as Non-Toxic | Non-Hazardous. No respiratory or eye protection required, but protection should be worn within this event and as such sunglasses are included in this event pack. Eye protection must be worn to participate in the event. To remove powder flush with water to remove powder from eyes, mouth, or nose; mild soap and water recommended for cleaning on skin.
10. I understand I must declare any medical condition especially those concerning, but not excluding: respiratory conditions, allergies, and heart conditions.
11. I understand during the Rainbow Run I must not smoke or be in possession of any ignitable or ignited substances.
12. I understand that any participants under the age of 18 is under the supervision of a parent or guardian that is also in attendance at the event. No participants that are under the age of 18 will be allowed to take part without a responsible supervisor on site. Participants that are under the age of 5 are required to have a parent or guardian complete the event with them.
13. I understand that it is my responsibility to ensure I do not damage property following or during the Rainbow run.
